Group members organized a federation election at Dosani in Bagerhat on 30 August 2023. A total of 80 group leaders (5 leaders from 16 groups) were participated in the election as voter and candidates as well. By direct voting 15 members-led committee were elected. The purpose of the election is to develop women’s leadership, collective actions and feminist movement building at local level.
Election was held for 15 positions, where 30 were declared themselves as candidates. Newly elected committee is Polly Begum, President, Sharmin Akter, Vice president, Samia Akter Nila, General Secretary, Nilufa Begum, Treasurer, Lucky Begum, Publicity Secretary and rest were elected as general members. The election helps to develop women leadership and women voice raise.
