Women-led agriculture

Women’s rights to agriculture programme is firstly, by mobilizing and organising six (6) women farmers associations, members protecting irrigation canals, seeds and common lands wouldn’t only for association members’ farming but also for community fishing and fresh water-sources. Secondly, co-finance to association members for leasing land and arranging organic agriculture inputs. Thirdly, scale up this model of women farmers association and organic farming in other locations by network members.

Finally it is planned to bring the movement at national level. Group facilitating capacity building activities (i.e., courtyard sessions, training, farmers’ field day, coaching and cross-visits) for group members and their leaders, associations, federations and network members accordingly. These training, coaching and sessions include both technical know-how like land ownership documentation, organic seeds preservation, bio-fertilizer and also leadership skills like organising, planning and public speaking. Hence, they can lead their livelihood by controlling land, water-bodies, cropping and forests.
