Najrana Sobnom has professional auditing skills and experiences with international and national financial institutions, banks, manufacturing companies and NGOs as well. She accomplished her CACC from Islam Aftab Kamrul & Chartered Accountants under ICAB. Prior to join with Badabon Sangho, she worked with Chartered Accounts firm as audit supervisor. Sobnom is responsible for record keeping and accounts management of number of projects.
Ms. Ozifa is a local women activist based at Mongla and responsible for Mongla area based operation. Her responsibility includes team management, coordinating stakeholders, field visits and report writing. Women’s action for climate justice and women’s fisher-folk rights programme have been managed by her. She has previous working experience with World Vision Bangladesh, and has completed her BSS under National University in Social Science.
Fatima Afroz Rumky
Programme Officer (GBV)
Mobilizing groups’ members i.e., women, girls, youths, parents and journalists and organising movements by utilizing contextual tools- where Fatima Afroz work for. She is from local communities and working for combating gender-based violence against women and girls. She is recognized a feminist activist, human rights defender and have courage to stand alone at survivors. Rumky completed Masters under National University in Social Science.
Ms. Laila is responsible for field programme implementation and stakeholders’ coordination. Facilitating capacity building activities with women groups, and women federation are main responsibility. These capacity building supports include training, coaching, mentoring and workshop for group members and their leaders. She was the youth volunteer of British Council led Active Citizenship programme. She did her Masters in Social Science. She is working with Badabon Sangho since 2019.
Goutom Kumar Saha
Mr. Goutom is responsible for women’s economic rights programme, has strong field experience on income generating activities, how to involve members in sharecropping and organic farming as well. Prior to join with Badabon Sangho he worked with non-profit sectors i.e. CODEC and was involved in programme management. He did his Bachelor degree in commerce.
Ms. Nasima Khatun has long working experiences in accounts section for NGOs, almost eight (8) years. Prior to join with Badabon Sangho, she worked with DRRA, ASF and Women’s Rights Organisation (WRO). She is responsible for record keeping and accounts management for number of large projects. She has completed Masters in Accounting from National University.
Md. Anisur Rahman
Programme Associate (Land Rights)
Deeply engaged, clear thoroughgoing, analytical and human rights activists Mr. Ansiur is the only trusted lawyer for women landowners in locality. Anisur is a Programme Associate, responsible for helping group members to explain and claim landowners. He is responsible for educating women landowners in a methodical ways, which assist them to claim their land and water-bodies.
Ms. Lipi Rahman is one of our founding members, General Secretary of Executive Committee of Badabon Sangho since 2015. She is one of the prominent women rights activists and acumen fellows. She has strong capacity in team management, communication, networking and advocacy. Lipi did masters degree in Political Science from University of Dhaka. She has experiences of working with vulnerable women and reputation in the community.
Md. Ahsan was the youth volunteer who received training on GIS-ODK and data collection and also engaged in the climate resilience cities programme for last one year. He has doing masters and working with Badabon Sangho particularly facilitating youth groups in the Mongla port city. He is facilitating meeting with informal communities to bring out needs and constraints and feed into the plan.
Ms. Lamia Khatun is one of programme volunteer, responsible for women group mobilisation and courtyard meeting facilitation. She is studying bachelor degree, and have presence in local community. She has strong capacity of public awareness, networking and stakeholders mobilisation.
Ms. Surya Akter has completed her LLB from National University. She is responsible for communicating with the women and girl’s violence survivors, police, lawyers, doctors and supporting with the legal procedures. Previously she has worked with Udayon Bangladesh, Sheba Manab Kallyan Kendra, Concord Entertainment Group, etc. She is based at Rampal office and have frequent contact with Bagerhat Bar Association.
Juli is committed and dedicated field activist, experienced in Dalit women’s rights movement. She has expertise on marginalized community mobilization, programme implementation, and monitoring. Facilitating capacity building activities with women’s land rights groups, federation members are her regular responsibilities. Prior to join with us, she was worked with world vision and Dalit.
Programme Support Manager
Prior to joining with Badabon Sangho, Ms. Ridee worked with national and international organisation like United Purpose. She did Masters in Economics under University of Dhaka. She is responsible for overall programme support including human resources management, procurement and administration. Assess team members’ performance, guide them for capacity development and follow up on progress- is her key strengthen.
Ms. Tania is key field player who is responsible for implementation of the programme with Dalit women. She has local presence, relations with stakeholders and women groups. Prior to join with Badabon Sangho she is volunteering for number of non-government organizations.
Arifa working with women groups on the issue of women’s economic development. By the way of the field works, she gained extensive skill to mobilize, organize and transfer knowhow to women. She born and brought up in the local communities.
Shila has strong experiences in the development sectors for the last ten years. Joined with the team with her extensive skill and expertise – mobilisation, organisation building and facilitation. Being a member of caste-based society, she is working with groups on the issue of racial justice.
Mamun Ur Rashid
Senior Development Manager
Mamun Ur Rashid has long experience on overall Bangladesh land administration. At the ground level, he facilitating number of tools and methods in order to promote participation of the women landowners in the land administration. He did Masters in Political Science under University of Dhaka. Mr. Mamun is extremely focus and field oriented development activist. He born and brought up in the community and reputation.
MD Tanvir Mollah
HR and Procurement Associate
Assisting programme team with logistics, office management and human resources management are Tanvir’s key responsibilities. He is assisting programme team in procurement and event management according to the policies and compliances. Prior to joining with Badabon, he worked with national and international NGOs and corporates like Global One, CNRS.
Prior to join with Badabon Sangho, Indrojit was volunteering with youth groups especially blood donation, tree plantation and sports arrangement. He has strong experiences of working with youth groups. He has joined as Programme Associate and managing the youth groups and dalit rights programme at ground level.
Programme Officer (Land Rights)
Shafrul is a environmental activist based at Rampal. Prior to this, he has worked with World Vision Bangladesh and BRAC, and has completed his post-graduate from National University. He is responsible for mobilizing the community, communicating with Union Council and land offices, organizing meetings and helping group members with the landownership documentation.
Accounts and Admin Associate
Aminul is responsible for assisting admin and accounts with specific tasks. He is responsible for leave and salaries register, asset register, stock and inventory management, and event management. He is motivated and engaged team members to assist programme team in procurement and event management according to the policies and compliances. Prior to joining with Badabon Sangho, he worked with private corporate in accounts.
Programme Officer (Women farmers’ rights)
Sajal is responsible for group members’ financial resilience programme, has strong field experience in income generating activities. He did diploma in forestry and worked with private corporates. Finally he joined with the team with her extensive skill and expertise – mobilizing farmers, building their organisations and assisting in agriculture preservation.
Rupama is one of programme volunteers, responsible for mobilizing Dalit women groups, facilitating members’ leadership development process, assisting groups to organize collective actions and documenting learning. Being a survivor and single mother, she has been engaged in the local women’s rights movement. She has firsthand experiences to response in gender-based violence against girls and women. With good reputation and local presence, she is accelerating the feminist leadership in community.
Sharuk Galib Rabbi
Rabbi joined with Badabon Sangho in order to assist the research on climate change induced loses and damages. He is strong capacity to motivate community, conduct interview, mobilize key stakeholders and conduct focus group discussion. In addition, he is working with groups and its members for leadership development. Rabbi born and brought up in the local communities.
