Najrana Sobnom

Accounts Officer

Najrana Sobnom has professional auditing skills and experiences with international and national financial institutions, banks, manufacturing companies and NGOs as well.  She accomplished her CACC from Islam Aftab Kamrul & Chartered Accountants under ICAB.  Prior to join with Badabon Sangho, she worked with Chartered Accounts firm as audit supervisor. Sobnom is responsible for record keeping and accounts management of number of projects.

Ozifa

Ozifa Kahtun

Programme Manager

Ms. Ozifa is a local women activist based at Mongla and responsible for Mongla area based operation. Her responsibility includes team management, coordinating stakeholders, field visits and report writing. Women’s action for climate justice and women’s fisher-folk rights programme have been managed by her. She has previous working experience with World Vision Bangladesh, and has completed her BSS under National University in Social Science.

Reezwana Zakir Tumpa

Programme Officer

Ms. Reezwana has been working in Keranigonj area office to ensure the implementation of women workers’ rights and SRHR programme. This programme include combating early/forced child marriage, girls sports, women migrants workers training, advocacy and campaign. She has previously worked with Idreams Production, Aparajeyo Bangladesh and Bengal Agency. She has completed both her graduation and post-graduation from Lalmatia Mohila College in Social Science.

Mst. Laila Khatoon

Programme Manager,

Ms. Laila is responsible for field programme implementation and stakeholders’ coordination. Facilitating capacity building activities with women groups, and women federation are main responsibility. These capacity building supports include training, coaching, mentoring and workshop for group members and their leaders. She was the youth volunteer of British Council led Active Citizenship programme. She did her Masters in Social Science. She is working with Badabon Sangho since 2019. 

Goutom Kumar Saha

Programme Manager, 

Mr. Goutom is responsible for women’s economic rights programme, has strong field experience on income generating activities, how to involve members in sharecropping and organic farming as well. Prior to join with Badabon Sangho he worked with non-profit sectors i.e. CODEC and was involved in programme management. He did his Bachelor degree in commerce.

Tonima is one of programme volunteers, responsible for urban slum-based group mobilization, courtyard meeting facilitation, leadership development and movement building. She is a single mother, was women activist in the community. She has firsthand experiences to response in gender-based violence against girls and women. With good reputation and local presence, she is accelerating the feminist leadership in community.

Md. Nahid Hossain

Manager – Accounts and Finance

Mr Nahid has completed MBA form Dhaka University and Chartered Accounts Article-ship with years of experience in working at the finance and accounts department. Previously, he has worked with Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK), Bangladesh Environmental Lawyers Association (BELA), Nagorik Uddyog, Social and Economic Enhancement Programme – SEEP. As an Accounts Manager in Badabon Sangho he is responsible for managing the accounts, preparing financial reports, monitoring daily transactions, bill & voucher, VAT & TAX, and regulating baking dealings.

Lipi Rahman

Executive Director

Ms. Lipi Rahman is one of our founding members, General Secretary of Executive Committee of Badabon Sangho since 2015. She is one of the prominent women rights activists and acumen fellows. She has strong capacity in team management, communication, networking and advocacy. Lipi did masters degree in Political Science from University of Dhaka. She has experiences of working with vulnerable women and reputation in the community.

Md. Ahsan was the youth volunteer who received training on GIS-ODK and data collection and also engaged in the climate resilience cities programme for last one year. He has doing masters and working with Badabon Sangho particularly facilitating youth groups in the Mongla port city. He is facilitating meeting with informal communities to bring out needs and constraints and feed into the plan.

Ms. Surya Akter has completed her LLB from National University. She is responsible for communicating with the women and girl’s violence survivors, police, lawyers, doctors and supporting with the legal procedures. Previously she has worked with Udayon Bangladesh, Sheba Manab Kallyan Kendra, Concord Entertainment Group, etc. She is based at Rampal office and have frequent contact with Bagerhat Bar Association.

Juli is committed and dedicated field activist, experienced in Dalit women’s rights movement. She has expertise on marginalized community mobilization, programme implementation, and monitoring. Facilitating capacity building activities with women’s land rights groups, federation members are her regular responsibilities. Prior to join with us, she was worked with world vision and Dalit.

Shila has strong experiences in the development sectors for the last ten years. Joined with the team with her extensive skill and expertise – mobilisation, organisation building and facilitation. Being a member of caste-based society, she is working with groups on the issue of racial justice.

Mamun Ur Rashid has long experience on overall Bangladesh land administration. At the ground level, he facilitating number of tools and methods in order to promote participation of the women landowners in the land administration. He did Masters in Political Science under University of Dhaka. Mr. Mamun is extremely focus and field oriented development activist. He born and brought up in the community and reputation.

Admin Officer

Sultana Parvin Chowdhury, the new Admin Officer, starts her job with Badabon from July, 2021.  She did Masters in Political Science from University of Dhaka.  She was stayed in Canada and completed Diploma in TESOL and Office Administration. She worked and experienced in administration. In 2019, she came back in Bangladesh. She is responsible overall human resources management and administration of Badabon Sangho.

Prior to join with Badabon Sangho, Indrojit was volunteering with youth groups especially blood donation, tree plantation and sports arrangement. He has strong experiences of working with youth groups. He has joined as Programme Associate and managing the youth groups and dalit rights programme at ground level.

Shafrul is a environmental activist based at Rampal. Prior to this, he has worked with World Vision Bangladesh and BRAC, and has completed his post-graduate from National University. He is responsible for mobilizing the community, communicating with Union Council and land offices, organizing meetings and helping group members with the landownership documentation.

Aminul is responsible for assisting admin and accounts with specific tasks. He is responsible for leave and salaries register, asset register, stock and inventory management, and event management. He is motivated and engaged team members to assist programme team in procurement and event management according to the policies and compliances. Prior to joining with Badabon Sangho, he worked with private corporate in accounts.

Asa Akter was born and brought up in the communities- where the program is being implementing. She has good reputation and strong relationship with stakeholders and school’s girls. Asa is responsible for returnee women migrant workers groups, girls’ football team and networking. She has expertise of community mobilization, organizing group members, its leaders and others stakeholders.

Rabbi joined with Badabon Sangho in order to assist the research on climate change induced loses and damages. He is strong capacity to motivate community, conduct interview, mobilize key stakeholders and conduct focus group discussion. In addition, he is working with groups and its members for leadership development. Rabbi born and brought up in the local communities.

Young Researcher, Climate Change

Prior to join with Badabon Sangho, Tasnim was work with DM Watch, World fish & Save the Children, as researcher in different level and capacities. In Badabon Sangho, she is working with climate vulnerable and displaced communities in order to document climate change induced loses and damages. She has completed Master of social Science from Khulna University. She is expertise of content analysis, case studies preparation and report writing.
