In order to bring out grass-root level experiences of women returnees migrant workers’ needs, constraints and voices in one common platform, we are facilitating a Women Returnees Network. Currently 12 women rights and migrant rights organisations across the country are participating in the network, by sharing their field level experiences and evidences. Finding out gaps in practice and suggest for change on the covid-19 stimulus schemes’ – which is govt designed for women returnee migrant workers is one of the area where network members are working.
The expected outcomes of the network are as follows:
- National Level labour migration policies and practices are improved based on the grass root level experiences and research evidence in Bangladesh
- Women Returnee migrant workers influence policy dialogue and propose positive changes through increased participation and representation at the local and national level.
