Women federation is the key decision making platform- members are the leader of each women groups. Rampal women federation has 21 members who are representing 11 women groups’ and its members. Federation members were the founder of the movement – that is facilitated by Badabon Sangho.
Federation meeting was held at Rampal office on 18 May, 2022. A total of 21 federation members attended the meeting. Gender-based violence, responses and dealing with the police stations were key agendas in the meeting. These members were talked about the ongoing river and water-bodies grabbing and commercial fishing in mangrove forest. The leaders gathered around to get acquainted with new team members and a better understanding these points and shared their thoughts. Updates about the fisher-folk association, association’s registration, funding, how the functioning of the association will take place were discussed in this meeting.
