Women federation is the key decision making platform- members are the leader of each women groups. Mongla women federation has 21 members who are representing 11 women groups’ and its members. Women federation has leadership of 5 members (i.e., a) president, b) vice president, c) general secretary, d) treasurer, e) organising secretary.
Federation meeting was held at Mongla office on 13th January, 2022. A total of 21 federation members attended the meeting. These members were talked about the ongoing river and water-bodies grabbing and commercial fishing in mangrove forest. The leaders gathered around to get acquainted with new team members and a better understanding these points and shared their thoughts. Updates about the fisher-folk association, association’s registration, funding, how the functioning of the association will take place were discussed in this meeting.
