The two-day ‘Safety and Care Assessment Workshop with Women Leaders’ held on 30-31 Jan 2024 at CODEC Training Centre, Bagerhat. The workshop aimed to raise awareness about various threats, challenges pre, during and post crisis period faced by the field team members and women leaders. Total 31 participants, including 30 females and 1 male took part in the workshop. The workshop covered personal, institutional, and communal aspects in all level of threats, emphasizing issues like sexual harassment, negative stereotypes, workplace safety, and cybercrimes like hacking and online harassment including cybercrimes. Participants shared their experiences, including incidents of hacking, blackmail and identity theft. The session on cyber laws highlighted major legislation on unlawful access, offensive transmission, hacking offenses, and identity fraud. The workshop emphasized empowering women to address these challenges, enhance their digital literacy and reporting assistance. Participants expressed the need for such workshops to combat cyber threats effectively, ensuring women’s safety and well-being.
