On January 29, 2024, at the Mollahat Upazila Parishad, Upazila Legal Aid Committee held a periodic quarterly meeting. The event aimed to familiarize 35 committee members with legal aid activities and enhance communication among them. Notable guests included officials from various government offices, NGOs, and local leaders. The Legal Aid Officer, Ibrahim Khalil Mohit, highlighted the committee’s objectives, focusing on legal advice, assistance, dispute resolution, and awareness. He emphasized Prime Minister’s vision for establishing legal aid offices in each district. The meeting addressed questions from guests and participants about the Badabon Sangho’s activities and how members can collaborate jointly. By attending the meeting, members showed their willingness for supporting poor and vulnerable survivors in order to get legal assistance. The meeting concludes with positive feedback, indicating that committee members believe legal aid programs will provide assistance to the needy and underprivileged.
