On 16 April 2023 Bagerhat district NGO monthly coordination meeting was held in Bagerhat. A total of 28 people including the Deputy Commissioner and representatives of various NGOs were present in the meeting. This is the only coordination tool amongst NGOs and public officials who are working in the same district. The purpose of the meeting is to create common understanding amongst NGOs and public officials regarding ongoing programme implementation. Though it is expected that public officials would create scope for NGOs by organising the meeting, it is not happening.
On 16th, it was scheduled that Badadon Sangho would deliver a presentation to meeting participants regarding the ongoing programme. Bababon Sangho’s programme manager delivered a presentation with fairly detailed information. Presentation includes programme strategies, leadership, working areas, donors and budget, etc. In the meeting, NGOs (i.e., SUS, CDP, CNRS, NABOLOK, CSS, Hunger Project, UDDIPAN, ASH Bangladesh, SHAPLAFUL, SMKK, HELP, Uttaran. Questions were asked about Badabon Sangho’s groups and future programme, and answered by Badabon Sangho’s team.
