On 22/01/24, girls’ group, Mongla has organized a bi-monthly meeting of members aiming to increase internal communication amongst members.
Total 18 girls participated in the meeting. Discussions focused on plans for the girls’ group, the formation of a committee, and the activation of a social media group. Participants openly shared social issues prevalent in their community, such as child marriage, drug addiction, class discrimination, and challenges in education like dropout rates. Demonstrating their commitment, the participants expressed a strong willingness to tackle the issues prevailing in community and strengthen their group.
It is important to mention all of 18 girls are connected with each other by social media group. Amongst them, 11 youths willing to contribute voluntary for any actions in the community. In summary, the meeting significantly contributed to raising awareness and promoting social development among adolescents.
