Facilitated girls group’s bi-monthly meeting at Shireen Haque Pilot Secondary School, Fakirhat, Bagerhat.

On 8th February 2024, a bi-monthly group meeting with girls under the Girls’ Project held at Shireen Haque Pilot Secondary School, Fakirhat. 13 girls group members were attended the meeting. The objective of the meeting was to foster internal communication, build friendly relations, and facilitate exchange of ideas among the girls. Participants introduced themselves and appointed Moumita and Jolly Akhter as President and Secretary. Discussions centered on addressing social issues like child marriage and eve-teaching, while two members shared their experiences for child marriage prevention. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from the chair announcing a plan for a picnic to promote team building. Outcomes included improved internal relations, 5 girls’ readiness to tackle social issues received big hands while 3 girls leaving the group was noted with concern.
