The Basic Training on Safeguarding Policy was held on February 10th and 11th, 2024, at CODEC Training Centre in Bagerhat, aimed to give participants a basic understanding of safeguarding policy of Badabon Sangho. Facilitated by Program Support Team, the 2-day long training was attended by 25 female and 10 male participants. The event covered three (3) sections i.e., a) fundamental concepts about protection; b) case studies illustrating vulnerabilities and c) reporting, feedback, complaints. Through interactive sessions, participants learned about signs of physical, emotional, sexual abuses on women and girls; neglect towards children and old including abuse of power. Participants engaged in discussions on sexual harassment, its definition, examples, and protective measures. Participants were encouraged to understand their rights and ways to protect themselves. The session emphasized on reporting incidents related to sexual harassment and financial exploitation. Overall, the training focused on empowering participants to safeguard themselves and others while fostering a culture of accountability and support within the organization.
