Couple Discussion on Gender-Based Violence and Linking Their Stories With Early Marriage, 26 June and 26 July 2022

Group members started sessions on sexual and reproductive rights with VAW survivors. By the way of group facilitation, it was found that most of the members are survivors, has early/forced marriage history. Then, groups organized sessions with couple who are survivors of VAW and talked about each of the separate stories. Right after covid, it was surveyed the early marriage are increasing and the climate migrated girls in Bagerhat are extremely vulnerable.

Session planned in a participatory ways in terms of tools and methods, especially they started with own stories, both of the sweet and bitter together. Gradually they are talking about the violence, how it link with gender discrimination and how it link with early marriage, how they plan. It was also discussed, separate sessions for boys and girls would be beneficial. Sessions were organized in 26 June and 26 July 2022.
