An orientation on women’s participation in agriculture led by Badabon Sangho was held on 16 November 2023 at Fakirhat Upazila Auditorium, attended by 78 people including 45 women and 33 men. The meeting discussed the importance of women’s participation in agriculture and the need to support women farmers. Among notable persons Upazila Chairman, UNO, and Team members were present. Various questions of the guests were answered. Officials & dignitaries spoke highly of the initiatives of providing assistance and opportunities to women in agriculture led by Badabon and assured to provide trainings and supports to women in agriculture for self-dependence. Organisation promised continued support and training for female farmers, while calling for further government assistance in credit and land access for women empowerment.
