Badabon Sangho led by group-based governance, which builds on women groups and women federation. The new leadership of federation was elected by groups’ leaders vote on 19 August 2022. Congratulations to federation’s new leadership committee including president and general secretary and others. The entire election was facilitated by groups’ leaders and commission’s members. 12 members-led committee consisting of president, general secretary, vice president and other positions. It was extremely competitive election amongst members, they campaigned for president and general secretary candidates. Though it was second time with Mongla-based women federation, but it was attracted group members hugely. Halima Begum of Fisher folk group has been elected as president and others are elected from different groups.
