Women-led climate action network, Bagerhat meeting was organised in 07 June at Badabon Sangho office. Meeting was presided by the chairperson of the network and facilitated by the secretary. Meeting was meaningful in order to organise all registered and unregistered NGOs, CBOs and women’s rights groups came together, discussed about the needs and constraints. Members came up with a plan and future activities, that could be organized jointly.
It was discussed that the network members will be organised and mobilized communities together to protest violence against women and girls. In addition, all of the CBOs are working on safe water supply and WASH where communities are struggling most. It was decided that network members will meet with Public Health Engineering Dept and discuss how govt is support in WASH sector, what the areas where CBOs are can support, what are the gender-discriminatory areas where network would work in future.
At the end of the meeting, CBOs, NGOs and communities came up a work plan to implement together without any funding support.
