On March 18th, 2024 a single batch of training on organic agriculture and environmental protection was facilitated to Ballabpur women agriculture group. Training was attended by 20 women farmers.
Discussions covered various agricultural practices and the benefits of organic farming, such as soil health, safe production of vegetables or fruits, soil and seed bed treatment, seedling treatment, seedling production in seedling trays, pheromone traps or adhesives for insect control, bagging, and netting technology for fruit and vegetable insect control, among others.
By the end of the training, 20 women farmers obtained knowhow of the organic agriculture and how its helpful for soil and future environment. Secondly, at least 16 women farmers agreed to share the knowhow with others farmers and replicate it within own field.
