Women farmers’ group members are happy to receive vegetable seeds for their cropping. Some of them are sharecroppers and managing the field together. They organized a seed distribution event, 20th August 2023 at Sreeghat in Bagerhat. A total of 27 members including women farmers’ association members of Sreeghat and Ronovumi were there. The purpose of the event is to transfer the control of the cropping from male to women groups members by educating on seeds and its advantages.
Side effects of chemical fertilizer like decreasing the fertility of agricultural land, destroying the balance of the environment, increasing malnutrition and causing people to suffer from various diseases was discussed. In the event, members discussed on organic farming. By this by organic farming women farmer will be self-dependent and fulfill their family vegetables demand.
