Organized `women fisher-folk’ project orientation meeting, 19-20 November 2024

The project titled `Empowering women Fisher-folk communities in Bangladesh’ orientation meeting was conducted at Badabon Sangho training room, 19 th and 20 th November 2024. The purpose of the meeting was to orient the participants about the project’s goal, objective, activities, role of other stakeholders, budget, and work plan. 
On the first day, participants were introduced with each other by facilitating a game. Second sessions was discussed about the back ground of the project and stakeholders.
Sessions were included preparation of activity plan for mobilizing and organizing 525 women fisher- folks, preparation of cooperative guideline, strategies of the collective actions, and details of the budget and compliance of the expenditures. At the second day this whole day workshop ends with report writing process with monitoring and evaluation, effective communication process among the members with solid information channel and safeguarding policy.
It is important to mention that the project will implement in Chila union under Mongla upazila where 525 women fisher-folk will participate in 15 women groups, one fisher-folk cooperative and one women federation.
