Inception Meeting on ‘Confront Land Induced Violence Against Women and Girls ‘Project’

In order to expel women from their property and lands rights, silent and open violence and mental pressure against women increasing day by day. Badabon Sangho initiated a project with support of UN Trust Fund to end violence against women and girls. On 11 Feb 2020, the inception meeting was held at Deputy Commissioner’s office, Bagerhat with participation of govt officials, local elected bodies, journalists, CSO’s leaders, lawyers and activists. The project will organise women in groups, educate them on nature of violence and what to do, linking with the public service providers.
