Badabon Sangho is women’s rights and women-led organization observed the 16 days activism by organizing series of events. The specific purposes of these events were to educate wider population on gender-based violence, women’s property rights and protesting the ongoing discrimination to women’s and girls. Amongst, on November 27, 2024 Badabon Sangho organized a day-long event to observe 16 days Activism against Gender based Violence at Drikpath Bhaban, Dhaka. The day opened with art workshop by engagement of 15 youth artists on eliminating societal norms that leads to gender-based violence against women and girls. At the second segment of the day was included paintings showcasing where different types of professionals, youths and general peoples visited. A discussion session was organized along with a lunch of video tutorial to the participants. Video tutorial was included contents and messages how to claim daughters’ in her inherit properties that was appreciated by the peoples. The video will be uploaded on the different platform in order to educated women and girls, ultimately reduce the inequality and gender based violence. A female indigenous band group performed diverse cultural songs and call solidarity against gender based violence. By the end of this event 60 delegates and guests were oriented about land rights protection of women and girls and how it can be protection for them as well. Similar kind of events was also organized in different part of the country like Bagerhat, Mongla, Naogaon, Modupur, Dinajpur.
