The Community based Gender discrimination and equality’ training was organised on 8-9 and 10-11 March 2024. Total 44 participants, including 20 women and 8 men, from different offices joined in the training and discussed experiences at field level. Facilitated by Marzia Prabha, the training aimed to address gender stereotypes and promote gender equality in the community. Through interactive sessions, participants engaged in discussions and activities to challenge misconceptions about gender roles and discrimination. Topics covered exchange of greetings, identification of gender-based discrimination, and discussions on human resource planning and social media diversity. Practical exercises, group discussions, and games, such as human rights board games, facilitated learning and awareness about gender issues. The training emphasized equality in work and rights, encouraging participants to challenge societal norms and promote gender inclusivity in their communities ensuring equal access and opportunities to people from all backgrounds.

Women fisher-folk group leaders organized training on Leadership
