local youths including girls and boys participated in meetings, discussions and came up with the District Youth forum in Bagerhat. The process was initiated by Badabon Sangho emphasizing to combat early girls’ marriage and to protest injustice. The forum members already received leadership training on leadership and organizing, which made them confident to initiate the forum.
On 24 January 2023 at Dhanshiri Hotel, Bagerhat, a total of 24 youths came together and committed to work in future. The leadership of forum is gender balanced and diverse- President – Tariqul Islam (Bagerhat Sadar), Vice President – Al Imran (sharonkhola), General Secretary – Afsana Mimi (Rampal), joint General Secretary – Sanjeev Jamaddar (Fakirhat) Treasurer – Sadia Jahan (Moralganj), Publicity Editor – Baizid Hawladar (Mongla). at the end of the event, few actions are planned like create a messenger group for communicating each other. The program concludes with a pledge to create a conducive environment for adolescents to fulfill their dreams by creating friendly relations with all.
