Women’s Land Rights Network’s Learning Sharing Workshop

“”Women’s Land Rights Network’s members organised a learning-sharing workshop on 21 st March, 2023 at Dhaka. The core of the discussion was to document experiences of safeguarding women’s rights to land, water-bodies, forest and biodiversity conservation. 14 women leaders described their experiences particularly how they are protecting potential grabbing and the environment. Indigenous leaders shared experiences in relation to forest protection by mobilizing women and youths in indigenous communities.

Members were also discussed on the operational issues of the network like committee formation, constitution preparation, communication amongst members, etc. A convenour committee was formed for overall operation. Furthermore, a working group for preparing the network’s constitution was formed.

The next meeting is planned for May 2023. “”
