Women group members organized a working women forum meeting at Keranigonj in Dhaka on 31 May 2023. A total of 16 women group members and team members participated in the meeting. The purpose of the meeting was to provide necessary legal aid and information services support to working women.
In the meeting leaflets were distributed to participants, leaflets describing how any survivors (women workers) can ask support from Badabon Sangho by using helpline numbers. They were discussing it like how to call a helpline number. Women in different professions can call helplines for legal aid and advice such as harassment, mental pressure, eve teasing, legal aid etc. They also discussed handcraft training skills for the Badabon Sangho Keranigonj office. They decided that if any women group members want to learn block printing, they can join the Badabon Sangho office when team members do it.
A group member Nurjahan Begum said, “Now I have learned about the uses of helpline numbers by participating in the meeting’.
