Women Farmers’ Cooperative members received training on cooperative management, Ranbhumi-Srighat, Bagerhat

On January 10, 2024, training was oganized by the Ranbhumi-Srighat Women Farmers’ Cooperative Society, in order to develop members’ cooperative management capacities. The event designed to provide hands-on understanding of cooperative registration, rules, regulation, advantages of saving deposit, social safety net schemes for women farmers, success stories of cooperatives were discussed in the training.

It is important to mention 23 women and 3 men took part in the training. As a result of the training, 18 women farmers become willing to be included in the cooperative. Most importantly, 15 women farmers deposited savings in the cooperatives after selling their vegetables. Upazila Cooperative Officer Mohammad Monir Hossain, a female union member, and the president of the cooperative society Kohinur Begum were participated in the training. Following the training, the Cooperative Officer conducted a practical session on pre-registration. The event concluded with an expression of gratitude towards Badabon Sangho for their tireless efforts in empowering vulnerable women through cooperative initiatives.
