Purpose of the meeting: To empower and enlighten females about women leadership on land and waterbodies through this training.
A training for women leadership on land and waterbodies at Hajaribag Dhaka was organized by the group members of Badabon Sangho on 2-3rd June 2023. Equal rights, women leadership, women’s land and water body rights etc fundamental rights of females were discussed and explained in the training session. Members of Bangladesh Horijon Nari Oikko Parishoad and Badabon Sangho together participated the training.
During the session prevention of child marriage, violence against women and girls, protecting the women’s land rights, fisher-folk rights, equality in their occupation and card holders’ advantages etc were subjects conversed about. Land-waterbody ownership by females, and NID card holders’ importance were emphasised. A game was also played by the participants to make them realize the seriousness for rights of women.
Follow up: The participators were made aware of their rights in the society.
