Group members organized a training to women group leaders on How to bring out VAWG reports and safeguarding, 9th August 2023 at Keranigonj in Dhaka. Including group leaders and team members total 20 participants were participated in the training. The purpose of the training was to orient and educate them how to bring and deal with VAW information and reporting, what are the safeguarding issues like ethics, privacy and confidentiality, etc.
Though most of the sessions were directly and indirectly discussed about the legal procedures, but methods and inspiration of the participants makes its different. Sessions includes dowry, early marriage, and lack of education, harassment, polygamy, and how it’s impacting on the gender-based violence. Group-based exercise and discussion made these sessions meaningful and joyful to participants. It was discussed that leaders should develop trust-based relationship with members, for bringing out VAWG reports. In the session, possible actions such as to FIR, court, medical report and its procedures were discussed.
