A training was organised on ‘women land ownership documentation’ at Rampal Upazila Auditorium in Bagerhat on 13 March 2023. 24 groups’ leaders and women landowners received the training, which was facilitated by a land surveyor. The purpose of the training was to equip group leaders with information and knowhow to protect women’s ownership and to explain their tenure title.
The training provides a basic understanding of essential ownership documents, how to explain these documents and how to communicate with land offices, and others, etc. Ownership documents like settlement records, mutation, deed, Mauza map, tax receipt, were shown to them and they asked a series of questions. By receiving the training, women leaders have learned about the essential land documents and established a communication with land offices. So that groups’ leaders would be able to assist other group members to be aware of documents and to visit land offices in future.
