In Mongla, local citizens, journalists, women leaders and youth were met together in order to attend the citizen committee meeting. Meeting was organized on 23 January 2022 at Badabon Sangho office. President of the citizen committee, Nur-E- Alam was urged all to be active in the meeting and events. Scarcity of the drinking water, huge saline intrusion, river excavating and sand filling on cropping
land were discussed in the meeting. With the consent of the majority members, committee has decided to organize a rally on International Water Day 22 Feb with demand of drinking water.
This is the sixth meeting of the citizen committee, already received attention of media and other stakeholders. A total of 14 members including 06 female and 08 males were participated.
