Organized training on Harijan (cleaning) women’s reproductive rights in Hazaribaghand Miranjilla Colony, 14 and 22 January 2025

Two batches of trainings were organized on January 14 and 22, 2025, where total 48 women and adolescents’ girls from the Harijan women’s group were participated. Trainings were organized in the Harijan colonies i.e. Hazaribagh and Miranjilla colonies in Dhaka urban areas. Training sessions began with an introduction, followed by engaging activities such as portraying mandalas to reflect on childhood goals and current realities. Participants learned about menstrual care, the importance of a nutritious diet, and the effects of gender discrimination in families, including the unequal treatment of boys and girls. Discussions covered the health and psychological impacts of early marriage and its consequences, such as malnutrition and complications during pregnancy.
