International Women Day

Badabon Sangho’s board members, groups, leaders, volunteers and team have observed the International Women Day with different kinds of activities. Firstly, groups observed the day by orienting members about the history of the day. Secondly, each office and team observed the day with the local communities by organising a rally and discussion meeting. Thirdly, board members, federation leaders and association members observed the day by arranging gender games like household chores for male and outdoor activities for females. Men and boys attended the event and enjoyed the game. Local union council chairperson also took part in the game. Finally, the Dhaka team took part in the national event which was organised along with Naripokkho on 11 March, a total of 52 women rights groups attended and organised the event jointly.

Badadon Sangho is a women’s rights and women-led group, working for lower-caste, Dalit, single mothers, separated, widows, divorcees, religious minorities, and girls. It is (a non-profit and non-political organisation) governed by group members and federation.
