Facilitated meeting with women leaders and local land officials at Mansa, Fakirhat

A public awareness meeting between women leaders and local land officials was held on 11 March 2024, at Mansa, Fakirhat. Aim of the meeting was to inform women members and leaders about the land offices’ services, and develop communication between landowners and officials. The meeting was attended by 16 individuals, including 12 women and 4 men, the meeting commenced with introductions and a briefing of the meeting purpose. The Sub-Assistant Union Land Officer explained on land ownership documents, records, registration and services.

Discussions covered land registration, tax payments, civil litigations, and digital transactions. The meeting facilitated women’s understanding of land matters, government services, and promoted engagement with local land officials. Expected outcomes include 10 women leaders received increased awareness about Union Parishad services, seven (7) women gained familiarity with land papers, and eight (8) expressed interest in utilizing available services. Overall, the meeting facilitated knowledge sharing and community engagement in land-governance.
