Facilitated handicraft training to indigenous women in Northwest region

To empower and promote economic independence, Badabon Sangho has initiated handicraft training (bamboo-made crafts) for a total of 43 Indigenous women at Patnitola and Badalgachi upazilas of Naogaon. The women expressed immense happiness and joy for being able to be a part of learning these crafting techniques. They believe that this training will support them in building their businesses and achieving economic independence by selling their products in the market to meet demand with good quality items. Moreover, they feel that this opportunity may bring them dignity and financial stability within their families. Most of the women mentioned that they would like to use this extra income to invest in their children’s education for a brighter future.
