Women fisher-folk group leaders organized training on Leadership to groups’ members, 9 December 2024.
The purpose of the training was to share information and knowhow regarding women’s human rights, fisher-folks’ entitlements, collective actions, safe water uses in the salinity areas, security, etc. The training programme was started with national anthem, introducing with each-others, and sharing the purpose of the training. Sessions were included feminist leadership tips, conflict management, roles of leaders, how to claim fisher-folk entitlements, uses of fresh drinking water (i.e., rain water saving ministration hygiene rules, personal hygiene, obligation they faces in those particular days, uterus infection, diseases and village superstation) and evaluations. The final session ends by getting correct information on the rules of fishing in state and open water-bodies and cannels by saving ecology and environment. Total 29 group members were participated in the five sessions in a day at Silo pint, Joymoni, Mongla.
