On April 28, 2024, National Legal Aid Day-2024 was observed at Bagerhat attended by 700 individuals, including notable figures like Senior District Judges, District Administrator, and Superintendent of Police. The event aimed to facilitate accessible legal services and promote collaboration between public and private organizations. A colourful rally led by the District Judge themed “Smart Legal Aid, Smart Country, Bangabandhu’s Bangladesh.” Following the rally, a discussion meeting underscored the importance of legal aid. Bar President congratulated all the participants and thanked the organizers for such a beautiful event. In the meeting, a civil lawyer and a criminal lawyer were awarded for handling the most cases gracefully. Finally Assistant Judge and Legal Aid Officer Ibrahim Khalil Muhim announced the end of the meeting. Overall, the event enhanced public awareness of legal aid accessibility and its significance in promoting justice.
