On 9 March 2023, a discussion meeting was organised between union land officials and women leaders at Piljong union in Bagerhat Sadar upazila. A total of 16 people participated in the discussion meeting, including women groups’ leaders and union land officials. In the discussion, land ownership documents like land record, survey, Mauza map, deed, namjari, khatian, porcha, Khajna and Dakhila etc – were key points.
Considering the complexity of ownership documentation, it was discussed that women group leaders would visit the office on a regular basis. It is notable that, by participating in the meeting, women leaders and land officials have introduced each other. The women leaders got information from the land officials about the land services.
