Women’s Land Rights Group organised the six monthly coordination meeting on 15 Oct 2022. Within the formal meeting agendas, members were talked about the International Day of Rural Women. It was excellent discussion regarding how rural women and girls are struggling within price hike and commercialization of cropping. Particularly, organic cropping and shared agriculture were prime focus of the discussion.
It was discussed and decided that organic farming would be promoted and facilitated to the women farmers and fisher-folk association for their sustainability. In January, a national level campaign and advocacy on `women’s land, water bodies, forest, agriculture rights’ would be accelerated by engaging network members. Simultaneously, Women’s Land Rights Network members’ protest to protect land and indigenous agriculture would be supported at local level.
