The top decision making body of Badabon Sangho has organized a meeting on 12 June 2022 and 30 August 2022 at Rampal office. It was part of the regular executive board meeting. Meeting was discussed and took decisions on programme, team’s fringe benefits and new working areas as well. Strategic priority and its implementation were discussed and some recommendations came up. These include- courtyard sessions’ qualitative assessment, group leaders’ training on organizational management, team’s capacity assessment and restructuring, and annual planning meeting.
Meeting also discussed about the capacity building centre for training and coaching for group members. Currently we don’t have such kind of facilities, and renting others’ venue with conditions. Committee members agreed to purchase a land for training and coaching centre, where group members will come and act independently. A land in Rakhalgachi has found and meeting agreed to purchase it for building centre.
Meeting was also discussed about the final report to UN Women and upcoming due diligence visit of Oxfam. It was discussed, new programme activities- combating early/forced girls marriage would be utmost valuable for Bagerhat, which is primarily supported by UNFPA, CARE and VSO International. Programme development team is working to develop few new partnership for core organizational costs- which was also discussed in the meeting. At the end of the meeting, board members talked with field team, volunteers and visited one courtyard sessions.
