In order to develop women leaders’ capacities and their roles in group management, a training was organized for the period of 16-18th January, at NGO Forum for Public Health training centre, Khulna.
A total of 21 women’s group leaders from Rampal and Mongla were participated in the training sessions. They were oriented with the basics of leadership, conflict management, member’s welfare and decision making process. Being a women groups leaders, they were coming up with field experiences, context and day to day tips regarding group management. Sessions include huge number of practical exercise and games so that leaders can learn more details of conflict management and decision making.
Furthermore, they learned about opening a bank account, how to take loans, how to apply for trade licenses, forming an association, creating a budget, and keeping track of income and expenditure for the association. The programme was financed by Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP), Nuffic and implemented by Market Development Forum (MDF).
