Women’s Land Rights Network’s member Alam-Khagrachari organized a training on `women leadership in land and water-bodies’ with indigenous women group members on 26-27th Nov 2022. Twenty five (25) group members from three (3) villages of Khagrachari were participated in the training. To empower indigenous women groups’ members by sharing information and knowhow- was the key purpose of the training. In the training human rights, women’s rights and feminism, identity, women’s land and water-bodies rights along with games and brain storming were included. The participants actively discussed and learned issues like impact of climate change on women’s lives, inheritance land share, how to act to be feminist leaders, and finally what to do resolve internal land conflicts with other communities. Women became aware regarding land offices functions relating to women’s inheritance share. Possible land ownership conflict and how to resolve it- were key points that women learned.
