The 8th Program Lead Meeting of Badabon Sangho was held on 9th July 2024, at CODEC Training Centre in Bagerhat. Participants included Executive Director, Coordinator, Programme Manager, Programme Officers and Organizers total 42 team members. The meeting commenced with introductions and a review of the previous meeting’s decisions. Key discussions covered the program results for May, presented by the program officers, addressing field issues. It was decided that Program Manager would complete the economic rights section for women in the monthly results sheet. Emphasis was given on awareness about age issues of the adolescent program and ensuring outcomes for immigrant female workers are truly reflected. Importance of case stories was highlighted and it was resolved that each officer would present one case story with the monthly results starting next month. Discussions on program implementation was aimed to creating consensus among staff regarding activities and their roles. Reporting protocols were clarified , mandating that managers must be informed. Fieldwork discussions included the distribution of 5 saplings each (Amla, Hog plum, Neem, Guava and raintree) to women group members during the monsoon. Expansion of work with fishermen in Patuakhali and Lakshmipur was also discussed. The election of the women ferderation was talked about and decided that Laila will be assisting Tarmin in federation election. The meeting also covered the participations in international workshops. Lipi Rahman shared her experience at the Women’s Land Rights Network’s Gender Justice on Land Rights Conference, Mamun Ur Rashid discussed his visit to Nepal for the Resilience Fund , and Program Manager Laila Khatun described attending a workshop on preventing and protesting sexual harassment in Nepal. It was decided to maintain records of participation in such workshops. Miscellaneous discussions included collecting and sending thematic reports to UNO by program representatives which would be approved by Jyoti Kispatta. Field visit experiences were shared by Azmin and Afrin. 40 water tanks were distributed to women members in Chila union. Responsibilities for UNO report preparation was assigned to Afrin and Nusrat . Life struggle of football coach Bijori was presented through a case story. With no further discussions, the meeting concluded.
